Coloured Aluminium Jump Rings

The ring measurements are nominal rounded values. Slight variations may occur. Our code numbers provide a guide to ring size - please refer to the actual id for ring size.

id = inner diameter. Since some metals spring back during ring manufacture, thus increasing the size of the id, we have listed the 'actual' inside diameter of the ring.
od = outer diameter
AR = Aspect ratio. This is the ratio of the inner diameter to the wire thickness (id/wire diameter).
AWG = American wire gauge. The gauge is quoted in American Wire Gauge (AWG) as so many patterns originate from the USA.

The aluminium is anodized after it is cut so the ends are coloured too.
Care needs to be taken when working with the anodized aluminium as the coating can be scratched.
TIP: Wrap your pliers with tape to lessen your chances of damaging the ring surface.

Hard temper aluminium is stronger than annealed steel or coloured copper wire but is 3-4 times lighter than copper.
