Brass Jump Rings
The ring measurements are nominal rounded values. Slight variations may occur. Our code numbers provide a guide to ring size - please refer to the actual id for ring size.
id = inner diameter. Since some metals spring back during ring manufacture, thus increasing the size of the id, we have listed the 'actual' inside diameter of the ring.
od = outer diameter
AR = Aspect ratio. This is the ratio of the inner diameter to the wire thickness (id/wire diameter)
AWG = American wire gauge. The gauge is quoted in American Wire Gauge (AWG) as so many patterns originate from the USA.
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. Brass will tarnish to a dark yellow. It can be cleaned with any brass cleaner or simply soak for a few minutes in lemon juice or vinegar. The brass used in our jump rings is half hard temper giving an excellent combination of strength and workability.
