Coloured Copper Jump Rings

The soft copper rings are coated with a layer of coloured enamel - the cut ends of the rings are copper coloured.
The silvered enamel copper jump rings have been plated with pure silver and then colour enamelled. The colours are therefore lighter and brighter than those of standard enamelled copper rings. The silver plating of the silvered enamelled jump rings makes these rings more expensive.
These rings are easy to work with, but care needs to be taken as the coating can be damaged if your pliers slip or if you squeeze too hard with your pliers.

Coloured Aluminium Jump Rings

The aluminium is anodized after it is cut so the ends are coloured too.

Bright Aluminium Jump Rings

Hard temper aluminium is stronger than annealed steel or coloured copper wire but is 3-4 times lighter than copper.
The rings are silver in colour, although compared to sterling silver they look grey.

The ring measurements are nominal rounded values. Slight variations may occur. Our code numbers provide a guide to ring size - please refer to the actual id for ring size.

id = inner diameter. Since some metals spring back during ring manufacture, thus increasing the size of the id, we have listed the 'actual' inside diameter of the ring.
AR = Aspect ratio. This is the ratio of the inner diameter to the wire thickness (id/wire diameter)
AWG = American wire gauge. The gauge is quoted in American Wire Gauge (AWG) as so many patterns originate from the USA.
