Each side of a Half Persian 3-1 chain looks different. The final picture above shows the side of the Celtic half Persian that we prefer, which is the back of the weave in the instructions.

1.
Close three bright aluminium (A) rings and three bronze rings (B). Place the bright aluminium rings inside the bronze rings.

step 1

2.
Link one bronze ring (B) and one bright aluminium ring (A) through the three pairs of rings from step 1. Lay the rings out as shown, overlaying the top two pairs of rings, no.s 1 and 2. The correct positioning of these first rings is vital.

step 2

3.
Slide the pair of rings no. 3 underneath the pair of rings no. 2 at the top.

step 3

4.
Close one bright aluminium ring (A) and one bronze ring (B). Place the bright aluminium ring inside the bronze ring - these are rings no. 4. Put the rings no. 4 behind rings no. 3.

step 4

5.
Weave one bronze ring (B) down through the intersection of rings 2 and rings 3, and up through the centre of rings 4.

step 5

6.
Repeat step 4 and position pair of rings no. 5 behind rings 4.

step 6

7.
Weave one bronze ring (B) through the intersection of rings 3 and rings 4, and up through the centre of rings 5.

step 7

8.
Repeat steps 6 and 7 until your chain is the desired length. You will be adding the bright aluminium rings (A) from step 10.

step 8

9.
Go back to the start of the chain. One pair of rings needs adding to finish the lower row of rings. Weave one bronze ring (B) through the centre of the first pair of upper rings and up through the centre of the second pair of upper rings. This ring lays beneath the pair of rings already in place.

step 9

10.
Weave one bright aluminium ring (A) following the path of the bronze ring added in step 9. This ring will sit inside the bronze ring.

step 10

11.
Weave one bright aluminium ring (A) following the path of the third lower bronze ring. Continue to add one bright aluminium ring (A) for each bronze ring.

step 11

12.
When you reach the end of the chain, link one bronze ring (B) through the intersection of the last two pairs of rings at the top. Weave one bright aluminium ring (A) following the path of the bronze ring just added.

step 12

13.
Weave one bright aluminium ring (C) through the intersection of the last two pairs of bronze and aluminium rings. Using two bright aluminium rings (D), link the toggle bar to the bright aluminium ring (C) just added.

step 13

14.
Weave one bright aluminium ring (C) through the intersection of the last two pairs of bronze and aluminium rings and attach the toggle ring.
