1.
The rings added in each of the following steps are shown in red for clarity.

To start, you will make the silver mobius units that will make main chain.

Close two silver rings. Open one silver ring and link to the two closed rings. Repeat with a second ring. Position the rings as shown in the left-hand picture.

Use a headpin or piece of wire to find the centre of the two pairs of joined rings (where the arrow is pointing in the middle picture).

Weave one silver ring through the centre of the two pairs and close. Repeat with a second ring. Position the rings as in the left-hand picture and put to one side.

Make nine of these mobius units.

step 1

2.
You will now make up the silver mobius chain.

Link one silver ring to one pair of rings - these are the first closed rings of the mobius ball made in step 1.

step 2

3.
Weave one silver ring through the right-hand pair of rings of the mobius ball (the third pair of rings added in step 1) and weave the ring through the left-hand pair of rings of the next mobius ball you wish to add.

step 3

4.
Repeat step 3 until you have added all the mobius balls. Finish the chain with one silver ring woven through the right-hand pair of rings of the last mobius knot.

step 4

5.
You will now make the coloured charms (these are made in the same way as the silver mobius units).

Choose the colour charm you wish to make. Close two rings and open four rings. Link the two closed rings with two open rings (left-hand picture).

Use a headpin or piece of wire to find the centre of the two pairs of joined rings (where the arrow is pointing in the middle picture).

Weave one ring through the centre of the two pairs and close. Repeat with a second ring. Keep the rings positioned as in the right-hand picture and put to one side.

Make ten mobius units - 2 each in red, orange, yellow; and green; and 1 each in royal blue, and purple.

step 5

6.
You will now add the coloured mobius charms to the silver chain. Use the same colour ring as the mobius charm to link the charm to the chain.

Weave one ring through the centre of the three pairs of rings that make up a charm.

Before you close the coloured ring, link to the lower part of a silver ring that joins the mobius units into a chain.

step 6

7.
Repeat step 6 to link each of the charms to the silver chain. For the rainbow bracelet, use the colour order: red, orange, yellow, green, royal blue and purple.

step 7

8.
Using one clasp ring, attach the toggle ring to the one end of the chain.

Using three clasp rings, make a 1-in-1 chain and attach the toggle bar to the other end of the chain.

  • For a Spring look or just because you like softer colours, try the pastel mix of colours - ice pink, ice blue, ice green and lavender.
  • Create a neutral look with silver, gold and champagne anodised aluminium.
  • Matt silver with ice pink charms or gunmetal with red and black charms are just some of the colour combinations you could try.
